Sewing birthday parties for kids in Oakland
I bring the whole studio to you anywhere in Oakland, Berkeley, Piedmont, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and the East Bay! We custom-design a project around the birthday kid's favorite thing, and every guest goes home with something they designed and sewed themselves.
Who it's for
Groups of up to six kids, ages 7 and up. No sewing experience needed from anyone — that's half the fun.
It's a good fit for a birthday kid who loves making things, or for a party where you'd rather everyone go home with a handmade souvenir than a goody bag.
How the party works
We talk beforehand about what the birthday kid is into — a favorite animal, a video game character, a color they can't get enough of — and I design the project around it.

- A quick, friendly intro to hand sewing so nobody feels lost
- Kids cut, pin, and stitch their own version of the project
- Personal touches: faces, colors, and details each kid picks
- Everyone leaves with a finished, handmade thing they made themselves

Questions I get asked
Where does the party happen?
At your place — your home, a party room, wherever you're hosting. I don't have studio space for parties.
Do the kids need any sewing experience?
None at all. The project is designed so complete beginners can finish it and feel proud of it.
What will they make?
We'll decide together! Tell me what the birthday kid is into and I'll design a project that suits it.
Do we need to buy anything?
No. Materials and tools are included in the per-child price. You handle cake, I handle fabric.
How far in advance should I book?
Reach out as early as you can so there's time to design the project and gather materials.
